Spend a few days at lake vyrnwy

If you like beautiful countryside, walking, cycling and generally chilling out, then I am sure you will enjoy a few days at one of our beautiful cottages beside the amazing Lake Vyrnwy near to the village of Llanwyddyn in Mid Wales.

Glanrafon is an ex Liverpool Water Corporation workers cottage, the end of a four cottage terrace, built in stone and Grade II Listed.  The cottage has a sunny position a few yards from the sparkling waters of the River Vyrnwy. Situated by the Sculpture Park, it offers quiet, simple, yet luxurious accommodation.

The Cottage was extensively renovated in 2008, and has two bedrooms (one double, one twin) an upstairs bathroom with full facilities, a modern fitted kitchen with dining area and a cosy living room with inglenook fireplace and log burner.  With slate floors downstairs and fully carpeted upstairs, the accommodation is comfortable and practical.  It also has an excellent central heating system and constant hot water. There is a private parking area adjacent to the Cottage and a hillside garden.

The wonderful vistas of Lake Vyrnwy are only a few minutes walk away and the Cottage stands at the hub of many marked footpaths.  The world famous Lake Vyrnwy Hotel is a 10 minute walk away and boasts 5 Star cuisine and a friendly local pub with bar meals and excellent ales. Fishing on both river and lake is available from the hotel, and both sailing and canoe hire can be found locally.

There are two Mountain bikes for the use of and a good supply of logs in the woodshed. There is a TV/DVD with a wide selection of channels, and a small library of books and games.

If you would like to come and stay we operate a very flexible booking system. You can come for one night or several weeks, and all combinations in between. There is a daily charge with no hidden extras. We do operate a strict 'NO PETS' and NO SMOKING policy.
